There are basically three types of paving methods.  Mortar set pavers, Sand set pavers as well as bitumen set pavers.

The most common form is sand bedding for pavers.

There are 10 steps 

1. Proper Planning & Layout

The First step involved in installation is deciding the area to be paved and see it fit to the plan. People often draw this in a graph paper to get a whole idea.

2. Computing The Number of  Pavers

Get a square footage of the intended pavement area by measuring the width and length of the area. One must get extra 5% to this calculated figure as pavers will be cut to odd spaces and figures. This figure will have fluctuations according to the size and configuration of the pavers inline with interlocking brick mold .

3. Excavation

Always determine the height of pavers should reach and it should not be excluded. The slope should always be downwards away from the house or the building.

4. Procure Base Substance

The next step is to lay base materials for pavement.  The base material usually consist of crushed rocks such as gravel, as these contain less moisture in turn helps better compact. Base material is made to the thickness as per planned pavement needs. Another factor, determine the base thickness is sub base material. Softer sub base needs a thicker base.

5. Perfect Edges

Getting perfect edging installation is very important as it can influence the durability of pavers. If it is not accurately accomplished, your pavers will move and crack.

6. Sand Set Pavers

Sand bedding is done over the compacted base material and after this pavers is placed. It also helps to avoid eroding the sand joints. One can seek advice on the type of sand is appropriate to your supplier

7. Laying Pavers

Lay the pavers  in an artistic or any manner one want to. Laying pavers is a skill, one can either plan a design or not.

8. Sand Joints

Here,  they sweep sand over the newly paved area as to fill up the joints. This ensures fill up joints and sand is good for this. Before sweeping, the area must be dry.

9. Sealing

Sweep all area in order to get a clean cut surface without debris and other materials. Seal paved place with a sand binding material. This prevents stains such as oil, dirt to harm your floor.

10. Maintenance

The last phase is secure in your hands, that is maintenance. How well you clean the floor and resealing will speak about the lifespan. Usually, these do not require heavy maintenance.
